Install the app

Lightful Tree can live on your phone, tablet or computer like an app. Installed, it has an icon of its own on the home screen, opens on the full screen without the bars of the browser, and the pages you have opened work without internet. It is free: no app store, no account.

Lightful Tree

Your browser installs it from its own menu: follow the steps for your device below.

In Safari, the browser of the iPhone and iPad:

  1. Tap ⋯ at the bottom right, then Share. On an older iPhone the Share button, a square with an arrow pointing up, is in the bar at the bottom itself; on an iPad it is at the top right.

  2. Tap Add to Home Screen. If it is not in the list, scroll down to find it.

  3. Tap Add at the top right. If you see Open as Web App, leave it switched on. The icon is now on your home screen.

Chrome on an iPhone or iPad: tap the Share button at the right of the address bar, then Add to Home Screen.

In Chrome, on an Android phone or tablet:

  1. Tap the menu ⋮ at the top right.

  2. Tap Install app. In some versions it is called Add to home screen; then choose Install.

  3. Tap Install. Lightful Tree is now on your home screen and among your apps.

Samsung Internet: tap the menu ≡ at the bottom right, then Add page to, then Home screen.

In Chrome or Edge, on Windows, a Mac, Linux or a Chromebook:

  1. Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar: a small screen with an arrow pointing down.

  2. Click Install.

  3. Lightful Tree opens in a window of its own. You find it among your apps, like any other program, and can pin it to the taskbar or the Dock.

No icon in the address bar? In Chrome open the menu ⋮, then Cast, save, and share, then Install Lightful Tree. In Edge open the menu …, then Apps, then Install Lightful Tree.

Safari on a Mac: in the menu File, choose Add to Dock.

Browsers rename their menus now and then. If a word is different on your screen, look for Install or Add to Home Screen.
